Unique: five-section hardtop of the new VW convertible. When open, it takes up less space in the boot; when closed it conveys the qualities of a real four-seater convertible, both in the interior and in the spaciousness of the rear. The hardtop can be opened in just 25 seconds – thanks to its special concept, even in low garages. A large sliding roof has been integrated into the hardtop for even greater freedom of choice and individuality. It extends over virtually the entire roof width and incorporates a new slipstream deflector – for that convertible feeling even with the sliding roof retracted. The hardtop also scores from an aesthetic point of view, for example its harmonious integration into the vehicle design.
The Mini Convertible. This innovation from Webasto provides an intelligent combination of the open-air feeling in a convertible and the benefits of a fabric softtop with an intermediate opening. When the softtop is closed, it enables a large partial opening, similar to a folding roof – even when on the move. In a closed state, the roof provides excellent sound and thermal insulation. When completely opened, the softtop is compactly folded into the boot, resulting in an absolute convertible feeling – almost without encroaching on the luggage compartment.
